Meet 2020’s best law student from University of Ghana, Legon, April Amanda Nutakor.

A typical case of beauty with Brains. April Amanda Nutakor has graduated from the Ghana school of law, University of Ghana (UG) with a final Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.84
Her GPA is also the first in history as She is the first law student from the University of Ghana to earn a 3.8+ GPA since 2012.

Amanda secured admission into the Ghana school of law (UG) in 2012, after completing her Basic and Junior High School education in Ukraine. She however, attended the Masters Senior High school in North legon, Accra where she where she emerged the best General Arts student of her year group.

While in Law school aside focusing on her books she was involved in organizing a team of the 2018 African Human Rights Moot Court Competition held in Accra.

Additionally, in her capacity as a member of the School of Law Moot and Advocacy Society, she contributed immensely to the successful organization of the maiden inter-firm Moot Court Competition which was held in March 2019.

She also indulged in writing several legal articles on the School of Law website legallyspeaking.com to eventually become the head of the Blog and Website Committee. Under her leadership, the committee formed the first ever Blogging and Writing Club dedication to improving the writing skills of law students through trainings, workshops and informal clean meetings.

Amanda seeks to pursue an LLM in Human Rights and also follow her dream of earning an academic career. In addition to pursuing an academic career, she intends to take on her interest in commerce and marketing by establishing her own company and fashion brand.
